History

The Center is the evolution of the Center for Audio-Psychophonological Applications, the first Tomatis Center in Greece, which was founded in 1987 in the same address, initially as the “Center for Acoustic-Psycho-Phonology”. Its establishment was carried out with the permission of Professor Alfred Tomatis himself to Ms. Tony Maha Evangelopoulou, mother of Ms. Alexandra Economou.

From 1985 until the opening of the Center, Ms. Economou was trained together with her mother by Professor Tomatis himself, completing all stages of training at his Center in Paris (Boulevard de Courcelles). After the opening of the Center, they continued their further training under the personal supervision of Professor Tomatis in regular collaboration with him until 2000, a year before his death, in 2001.
